SEDRICK HUCKABY
painter + fine artist mixed mediums
It's hard to decide what is most impressive about Sedrick. His very large scale, multi-panel paintings? His impressive resume: BFA from Boston U, MFA from Yale, in the permanent collection at The Whitney, Guggenheim fellowship? How his art delves intimately into studies of his family and community? Or maybe just that he is a cool, laid back, really nice guy.
Sedrick's current work features large scale paintings of handmade quilts as well as sketches of those around him which he is currently experimenting with printing and transferring via different methods.

TERRY HAYS
multimedia sculpture
Terry stopped making personal art for 20 years, instead turning his talent to set painting for stage productions. Luckily, he returned to his own artwork about ten years ago. Attracted to street art and full body tattoos, as well as art from different cultures especially: Australia, Indonesia, New Guinea, China, and Japan, his current pieces reference natural disasters and the elements that fluctuate with them. The meticulous detail and multi-layered pattern precision in his work is exquisite.

MATTHEW POSEY
playwright + actor + theater owner/operator
Matthew and his Ochre House Theater productions and troupe have become shining stars of the Dallas theater scene, recognized as one of Dallas's Best by D Magazine in July 2012. His unique and unforgettable productions might include puppets, cross-dressing, live video interaction and almost always live music accompaniment. All produced in an intimate 45-seat theater near Fair Park.
Matthew is also a seasoned actor. You can spy him in the current Dallas prime time tv series as well as feature films such as No Country For Old Men and Temple Grandin.

ARIEL SALDIVAR
jewelry designer + musician
Be it rocks or rocking out, Dallas jewelry designer and musician Ariel Saldivar is a pro. The Trinity Christian School grad was an opera student at New York University when she joined the local indie music scene (and switched her major to art history).
In 2006, she returned to Dallas to curate a private art collection, then toured with Polyphonic Spree, Canada’s Broken Social Scene and Dallas Dolphin Cry. After rediscovering her childhood rock stash and enrolling in an El Centro jewelry-making class, Olivia K Jewelry was born. Now Saldivar mixes her dual passions fulltime. She works on her upcoming record with fiance Eric Harvey several days a week, and spends the rest at her Elm Street studio, crafting geodes into delicate pendants, necklaces and earrings made from recycled silver and 24k gold with semi-precious stones.
Ariel was touted as one of Dallas's Best by D Magazine July 2012 and resides in Dallas with her dog, Olivia.

GEOF KERN
photographer
While Geof Kern began as a fashion photographer he never considered himself one. Describing his style as "photographing ideas," fashion was the most receptive commercial genre of imaginative or experimental photography at the time. During the 1990's, as acceptance of creative photography grew in advertising, art directors began to assign Kern more diverse subject matter such as automobile campaigns, rail service, and technology.
Beyond labels, Kern has made many photographs for everyday commercial use that have since become art sold in galleries, and much of his work has influenced contemporaries and trends in photography over the span of his career.
